Did you know that Communities In Schools (CIS) of 草榴社区 Texas serves students on 40 campuses in 13 school districts and nine counties? Administered by 草榴社区, CIS has 44 employees on staff that provide services to students to help overcome barriers to their success. The 草榴社区 Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Two new students recently graduated from the program. The Fall 2024 semester starts on Monday, Aug. 26th. Everyone at NTCC is excited to welcome both new and returning students. Below are a few tips to help students have a stress-free, successful first week at college:

草榴社区 will host its August 2024 commencement ceremony on Friday, Aug. 16th in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on and for those who are unable to attend in person.
Members of Alpha Mu Chi, NTCC鈥檚 five-star, award-winning chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, won 4 of 13 prestigious Texas Star regional scholarships given out at the 2024 Phi Theta Kappa Texas Honors Institute held July 26-28 at Texas Women鈥檚 University in Denton. The scholarships are available to members of Phi Theta Kappa throughout the state of Texas, with awards based on demonstrated leadership and academic excellence. NTCC students won the top four spots in the state.
Eight members of Alpha Mu Chi, NTCC鈥檚 five-star, award winning chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, attended the Phi Theta Kappa Texas Honors Institute July 26 - 28 on the campus of Texas Women鈥檚 University in Denton, Texas. During the conference attendees stayed in dorms on the TWU campus and ate in the campus dining hall. All sessions were held on the beautiful tree-filled campus.
