Dr. Melissa Weinbrenner, 草榴社区 Division Director of Social Sciences, Professor of History, and Phi Theta Kappa Advisor, gave the keynote address at the fourth General Session of the鈥燼t the 2013 Phi Theta Kappa Texas Honors Institute at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. The theme of the conference was "The Culture of Competition: Overcoming Self-Doubt to Achieve Success." Weinbrenner's presentation "From Fonics to Facebook: The Competition of Communication Across Time and Space" can be viewed on YouTube鈥. She also led a seminar called "The Social Network" at the Honors Institute.
