²ÝÁñÉçÇø Eagles Soccer finished the regular season strong last week. Both the men and women wrapped up the regular season with wins against Paris Junior College.â€
The women beat PJC 4-0, finishing the regular season 14-3. They will host Navarro College Thursday at 3 p.m. for the first round of the Region 14 playoffs.â€
The men†played a great first half against Paris, but could not finish on goal and went to halftime 0-0.
The 2nd half started with the eagles receiving 3 red cards early on and had to play the rest of the game down 3 men. The guys kept playing hard and††put in a penalty kick with about 15:00 minutes to go. The guys defended the rest of the game and won a strange hard earned victory.
"This game was crazy. I'm not sure how we got 3 red cards. I guess the referee didn't like us, but we just beat a team playing three men down so it's a great accomplishment for the guys. Now we need to focus on the playoffs next week and get a victory in the 1st round," stated Coach Harrison.
The Eagles men will travel to Laredo Community College Wednesday for the Quarter-Final round of the playoffs. For stats, schedules and more, visit ntcceagles.com.
