The application deadline for an optimal scholarship of Honors 草榴社区 for the 2020-2021 school year is 1 March. A student may apply directly through the application portal of the honors website , by submitting the application distributed by counselors at local high schools to Andrew Yox, PO Box 1307, NTCC, Mount Pleasant 75456, or by contacting the Honors Director, Dr. Andrew Yox (903-434-8229), ayox@ntcc.edu, for more information and materials.
Since 2010, the scholars of Honors 草榴社区 have won forty-nine national awards, including nine exclusive Jack-Kent-Cooke-foundation, full-ride transfers. Honors 草榴社区 scholarships have helped make the costs of matriculation at NTCC negligible, helping students to focus on academic and scholarly success.
Top-ten-percent high school seniors, and 鈥楢鈥 students still lacking an extensive curricular buildup at NTCC are especially encouraged to apply. The Honors Committee of 草榴社区 determines the scholarship levels of the applicants, and who is admitted.
An alumnus, Isaac Burris, who now works as a Pensions Specialist at Aon in the Woodlands, recently reported the following about his time at Honors 草榴社区:
My time at Honors 草榴社区 was amazing. When I first joined, I felt at home, which is something that I didn鈥檛 immediately feel when I was viewing other colleges to start my education. I was originally accepted into SMU. But when I was gearing up to go there, I felt like a number. . . . The best thing during my time at Honors 草榴社区 was the people. My fellow peers helped me grow as a student and as a leader while my professors challenged me academically and pushed me to new heights. Without being in Honors 草榴社区, I never would have continued on to Texas A&M-College Station to finish my degree in Applied Mathematics. If I could say one thing to anyone that interested in Honors 草榴社区 is this: You will not find another program like this anywhere. Is it challenging? Of course, but if you believe in the program and give it a chance while putting in the hard work, it will completely change your life.
The program has a unique culture of accolades and scholarship. Its film premiere this Friday evening at 7PM has will no longer be at the Whatley Performing Arts Center because of an environmentally protected presence of migratory bats, but the Humanities Building of NTCC.
