The current issue provides a summary of student success stories at NTCC in honors last fall: the attainment of NTCC鈥檚 second string of Portia Gordon awards, Vanessajane Bayna鈥檚 election as student leader of the Great Plains Honors Council, the winners of generous donor-scholarships in honors, the Eckman prize winners, and the student presentations at the meeting of the National Collegiate Honors Council, and the Webb Meeting in San Antonio. The newsletter also contains tributes to recent honors donors, who have enabled a special group dynamic, discussed here as the 鈥渋ncentivization corridor of Honors 草榴社区.鈥 There is also a section on the completion of the 2024 Honors film on Big Oil and Texas politics, the outcome of the 2024 草榴社区 Texas Poetry Contest, and a section on 鈥渁lacritous alumni,鈥 an update on six former members of Honors 草榴社区.
