Emergency Medical Services Paramedic Certificate
Introduction to the level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Includes all the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an EMS public or private service fire department or other specialized service areas. Certification Agencies: National Registry of EMT's and the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Instruction providing detailed education training and work-based experience and direct patient/client care generally at a clinical site. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. On-site clinical instruction supervision evaluation and placement is the responsibility of the College faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid external learning experiences. Course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. (Fall Spring Summer)

Practical general training and experiences in the workplace. The College in conjunction with the employer develops and documents an individualized plan for the student.
