Reyna Soto to travel to Australia for International Scholar Laureate Program

This summer, Reyna Stephanie Soto from Daingerfield will join outstanding college students and professionals from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, International Scholar Laureate Program in Sydney, Brisbane, and Cairns, Australia.

The International Scholar Laureate Program is one of the Envision family of programs (www.envisionexperience.com) that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.

NTCC Art announces annual student show winners

The 草榴社区 Art Department recently held its annual Student Art Show in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Students submitted their best work in a variety of media. The contest was open to all NTCC students, not just those enrolled in art classes.

Theatre 草榴社区 to host showcase performances

The 草榴社区 theatre department will host a Theatre 草榴社区 Showcase April 26-29 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The production will feature current students and Theatre 草榴社区 alumni. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows will be held at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday matinee will be at 2:05 p.m. General admission tickets are $5, students 17 and under are $3 and senior citizens and NTCC faculty and staff are free with ID. Tickets will be available at the box office or you can call 903-434-8181 for more information.

Adult Education to host GED commencement

The 草榴社区 Adult Education program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May鈥10, 2018鈥燼t 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.鈥 All students who have completed the NTCC GED program during the past year will be honored.鈥 Family and friends of graduates are invited to attend.鈥 A brief reception will be held in the Whatley Center foyer after the commencement ceremony.
