An introduction to current refinishing products shop safety and equipment used in the automotive refinishing industry. Emphasis on surface preparation masking techniques and use and care of paint guns. Students may lease a set of hand tools from the College for $40.00.

Examination of shop management functions and decision-making processes including planning, organizing, leading and staffing used in collision repair shops to ensure operational profitability

A course in the repair, replacement, and/or service of collision damaged mechanical or electrical systems. Topics include drive train removal, reinstallation and service; cooling system service and repair; exhaust system service; and emission control systems. Additional topics include wire and connector repair, reading wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting.
A study of collision repair welding and cutting procedures.

An introduction to basic metal straightening procedures utilizing hand and air tools with appropriate plastic filler application techniques. Personal and environmental safety practices will be taught. Students may lease a set of hand tools from the College for $40.00.

Diagnosis and repair of manual/electronic climate control systems; includes the refrigeration cycle and EPA guidelines for refrigerant handling.
