College board approves budget, tax rate
The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Board of Trustees approved a tax rate and budget for the 2012-2013 year at its meeting Tuesday evening.†The tax rate remains at its cap of 10 cents per $100 valuation and is projected to generate $3.182 million in revenue.
The budget was set at $17.922 million, and included reductions in planned deferred maintenance and in the growth of reserve funding.

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø baseball team will kick off the 2012 fall season Sept. 7 as the Eagles host their annual fall tournament at Bob Baker Field.
Play gets underway at 1 p.m. as the Eagles take on conference foe Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers and continues at 4 p.m. as a Cavaliers face Weatherford. Day one of the two-day tournament ends with the nightcap game at 7 p.m. as the Eagles take on Weatherford.
There are four games scheduled for Saturday, Sept.
