The final game of the series also saw the Eagle and Lions battle it out to a 6-5 score with the Eagles completing the sweep of NCTC to open the season with three wins and no losses.
Both teams would score two runs each in the first inning to start off game three tied at 2-2 after 1. Neither squad would plate runs in the second and NCTC took a brief lead in the third when they plated a run off a ground out to short stop and then an error on the next play. The 4-2 lead was cut into by the Eagles in the bottom of the third when Ayden Terry would single and later score Cooper Schock (Chandler, TX) singled to cut the lead to 4-3 Lions.
Both teams would go scoreless in the fourth inning and the Eagles kept the Lions off the board in the top of the fifth before tacking on 3 runs to put the game away.
