By now you've probably heard about Pickleball, but have you given it a try? NTCC's continuing education Pickleball class is back by popular demand! There's never been a better time to get some exercise and have a great time making new friends and learning about this exciting sport.
草榴社区 celebrated its August 2023 commencement on Friday, Aug. 11th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center. There were 95 total graduates (not all were in attendance) who received 69 degrees and 50 certificates of competency.
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 草榴社区 is set to dazzle audiences with an exciting variety of performances for the 2023-2024 season. From world-renowned acts to local talents, this season promises a diverse range of entertainment that offers something for everyone.
The Adult Education Department at 草榴社区 is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration.
Christi Denney (left) recently presented Nita May, Director of Development with the 草榴社区 Foundation, with $2,000 to support the Nita DeWoody Memorial Scholarship fund. Multiple donations were received to contribute to the scholarship in memory of JW Hooper, father of Denney and DeWoody, who passed away in 2023.
草榴社区 will host its August 2023 commencement ceremony tonight on Friday, Aug. 11 in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on and for those who are unable to attend in person.

It is hard to believe, but we are just three weeks away from the start of the Fall 2023 semester. Classes start Monday, Aug. 28th. There is still time to sign up, but you need to act now! Most current students should be able to register online in the myEagle portal.
Members of Honors 草榴社区 and the NTCC Webb Society are in the midst of an intense film week that has taken them, in 100-degree weather, from Lake Bob Sandlin to Lake Nacogdoches. They are working on their 12th feature-length film on Texas history legends. This year鈥檚 script is about the traveling preachers of early Texas.
The NTCC Work4College Program celebrated the end of summer with its annual appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Work4College donors, supervisors, students and their families attended the event in the Student Union Building. This is the 9th year of the program and more than 90 students participated.
