Farm Fashioned Recipe: Chicken Andouille Sausage Gumbo

In my case, I also add in the agriculture element of growing the ingredients for my Farm Fashioned Recipes. 聽Although we are in east Texas there are several connections and a short drive into Louisiana that have me including a little creole in my list of dishes.

Honors 草榴社区 presents film trailer in Nacogdoches

Submitted by Dr. Andrew Yox, Honors Director Six NTCC honors freshman recently presented the trailer of their new film on Barbara Conrad at the annual fall meeting of the Walter Prescott Webb Historical Society. The Webb Society is the collegiate auxiliary of the Texas State Historical Association. Jacob Lambie, Peyton McClendon, Verania Leyva, Miguel Paco, Daniel Landaverde, Mercedes Collins all have taken major roles in the production of the film, due for a premiere this February. All took turns presenting key aspects of the film鈥檚 development.

Irene Richardson ceramics exhibit on display at NTCC

The 草榴社区 Art Department will host a ceramics exhibit featuring the work of Irene Richardson October 5-24 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A reception with the artist will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 12:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. 鈥淭he NTCC art department is proud to have Irene Richardson showcase her beautiful and functional farm ware during the month of October 2018. 聽I hope everyone takes the opportunity to come to the Whatley and admire Irene鈥檚 pottery.

College to host annual Scare Affair Oct. 20

It鈥檚 time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to 草榴社区 for the 31st annual Scare Affair. The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20th on the plaza of the main NTCC campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!

NTCC seeks community feedback for strategic plan

草榴社区 is seeking community feedback as they plan for the next five years. The public is invited to participate by completing the strategic planning survey at聽聽by October 15. Results of this survey will be used directly to help shape the planning process. Earlier this summer, a strategic plan steering committee, made up of faculty, staff, students and community members was established to begin working on the strategic plan.
