The �������� Adult Education program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May†10, 2018†at 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.† All students who have completed the NTCC GED program during the past year will be honored.† Family and friends of graduates are invited to attend.† A brief reception will be held in the Whatley Center foyer after the commencement ceremony.

For the third year in a row, the NTCC Foundation is participating in East Texas Giving Day.

For the third time, the scholars of Honors �������� have won two of the six Boe Awards conferred by Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC) in its yearly meeting held at Oklahoma State University.† The GPHC is an association of 80 honors colleges, and programs from the Midwest down to Texas.

The 10th annual �������� McGraw-Hill Poster Contest is set for Friday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This contest recognizes and rewards creative student scholarship in �������� Texas. Area high school seniors, college and university students are welcome to compete. Prizes range from $100 for fourth place to $400 for first place.

Chesney Davis and Brenda Godoy, students at ��������, are among ten college students named 2018 Hites Scholars. Each will receive a $7,500 scholarship for baccalaureate studies.† This is the largest scholarship Phi Theta Kappa awards to its members.

The Hites Transfer Scholarship is awarded to Phi Theta Kappa members who are preparing to transfer to a bachelor?s degree-granting college or university.
