Adult Education to host GED commencement

The 草榴社区 Adult Education program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May鈥10, 2018鈥燼t 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.鈥 All students who have completed the NTCC GED program during the past year will be honored.鈥 Family and friends of graduates are invited to attend.鈥 A brief reception will be held in the Whatley Center foyer after the commencement ceremony.

Honors 草榴社区 brings home two Boe Awards from GPHC

For the third time, the scholars of Honors 草榴社区 have won two of the six Boe Awards conferred by Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC) in its yearly meeting held at Oklahoma State University.鈥 The GPHC is an association of 80 honors colleges, and programs from the Midwest down to Texas.

NTCC to host 10th annual McGraw-Hill Poster Contest

The 10th annual 草榴社区 McGraw-Hill Poster Contest is set for Friday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This contest recognizes and rewards creative student scholarship in 草榴社区 Texas. Area high school seniors, college and university students are welcome to compete. Prizes range from $100 for fourth place to $400 for first place.

Chesney Davis and Brenda Godoy named Hites Scholars

Chesney Davis and Brenda Godoy, students at 草榴社区, are among ten college students named 2018 Hites Scholars. Each will receive a $7,500 scholarship for baccalaureate studies.鈥 This is the largest scholarship Phi Theta Kappa awards to its members.

The Hites Transfer Scholarship is awarded to Phi Theta Kappa members who are preparing to transfer to a bachelor?s degree-granting college or university.
