The Continuing Education and Corporate Training department at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø recently offered a lively and engaging Country Western Dance class. Held on Monday nights at NTCC's Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg, TX, the course drew a diverse group of participants eager to learn the basics of popular country western dance styles. 

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø (NTCC) Regenerative Farm is excited to announce the opening of its Muscadine Grape picking season. This annual event offers community members the unique opportunity to pick their own Muscadine Grapes for just $5 per gallon.

Rene' McCracken, Director of Agriculture at NTCC, invites everyone to participate in this seasonal harvest. "Muscadines are not only native to the south, absolutely delicious in jelly, sauces, or wine, but can be extremely healthy for you since they are packed full of antioxidants," said McCracken.

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation recently received a donation of $10,000 from the Stevenson family of Gilmer. These funds will help the Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø program continue its legacy of unique special projects, specifically their annual feature-length film. The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 27th. A Public Hearing on Proposed 2024-2025 Operating Budget and Proposed Tax Rate was held prior to the meeting, but there was no public comments so the hearing was adjourned. 

President’s Report

You've probably heard NTCC's tagline "Start here, go anywhere" - and it's true! We frequently hear stories about the great things our alumni are up to in our community and in the world beyond. A few of our former students have recently made national headlines. These are just a couple of examples of how NTCC Eagles are making a difference in the world!

²ÝÁñÉçÇø welcomes Artist Laura Abrams as the exhibiting artist for September. Her artwork will be on display from Friday, September 6th through Wednesday, September 25th.  A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 11th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
