NTCC Softball third in the nation for academics

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently announced that the 草榴社区 Eagles Softball team ranked third in the nation for team grade point average. The team held a 3.52 GPA for the 2014-2015 school year.


Head softball coach, Jessica Keith, said that academics are always a priority for her team.

NTCC softball kicks off spring season

The 草榴社区 Lady Eagles Softball team split two doubleheaders with the Temple Junior College Leopards to start their season. They kicked off the series with a 10-0 win on Friday and dropped their nightcap 3-2. The Lady Eagles started off the day on Saturday with an 8-0 win and dropped the second game in another one-run barn burner, 4-3.


?We scheduled to play Temple at the last minute and we had just started practicing on the field and coming together as a team.

American National Bank gives $30,000 for Eagles fieldhouse

American National Bank recently gave $30,000 to fund the completion of the 草榴社区 Eagles fieldhouse. The new American National Bank Fieldhouse will be completed by spring 2015. Eagles Soccer advances in playoffs, seek berth in national tourney


The 草榴社区 (NTCC) Men?s Eagles Soccer team advanced in the Region 14 tournament this week in dramatic fashion.鈥 The Eagles won their first round playoff game against Laredo Community College Friday, but it took two overtimes and a penalty shoot-out to get it done! The Eagles now advance to the final round of the Region 14 tournament this Friday when they face off against Pearl River Community College at 2:00 p.m. at NTCC.

The 草榴社区 (NTCC) rodeo team has five members ranked in the 2014-2015 Southern Region standings after their second rodeo of the season. The team hopes to improve its place in the standings after this weekend's home rodeo at the Mount Pleasant City Arena.

Men's soccer continues winning streak

The 草榴社区 (NTCC) Men?s Eagles Soccer team won鈥爁our鈥爋f鈥爁our鈥爂ames this week., shutting out鈥燡acksonville College,鈥燩aris Junior鈥燙ollege鈥燼nd Coastal Bend College, while giving up only one goal to Laredo Community College. The Eagles are鈥爊ow鈥爎anked鈥爁ifth鈥爄n the nation according to the National Junior College Athletic Association coaches poll this week.

Looking for NTCC Softball alumni

The 草榴社区 Eagles Softball program will host an Alumni Game on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Eagle Field. All NTCC Softball alumni are invited to come enjoy friendly competition and fellowship with the current team and coaching staff. Those planning to attend should contact Jessica Keith at鈥jkeith@ntcc.edu. Game time is at 11 a.m. and lunch will be provided following the game. The public is invited to come cheer on friends and family.鈥

NTCC to host 25th annual rodeo

鈥 鈥 鈥燫odeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) compete for points and prizes next weekend as 草榴社区 its 25th annual rodeo. The event will be held October 9-11 at the Mount Pleasant City Arena on Greenhill Road.


鈥 鈥 鈥燫odeo action will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m.
