The 草榴社区 (NTCC) Foundation has extended the deadline for its scholarship applications, giving students additional time to apply. Students now have until March 31, 2025, to submit their applications for financial assistance in the upcoming fall semester.
To apply, visit and log in using your NTCC email and password. Be sure to complete the 鈥淎pplication,鈥 which will automatically match you to scholarships you qualify for.

草榴社区 (NTCC) is now accepting registrations for its annual Kids Discovery College, set to take place July 7-17. This engaging summer program offers children an opportunity to explore, create, and learn through a variety of hands-on classes.

The Eagles Softball Program at 草榴社区 is proud to announce that five out of six sophomores from the softball program will continue their education and athletic careers at the next level 鈥 marking the largest recruiting class to move on from the program.
Game 1 Recap:
NTCC Eagle Softball pulled off a big-time upset on Saturday, taking down the heavily favored Tyler Junior College Apaches, 9-1, behind a dominant performance from Kiersten Fincannon. Fincannon delivered at the plate and in the circle, driving in four runs鈥攊ncluding a momentum-shifting grand slam in the fifth鈥攁nd shutting down the Apaches鈥 offense over five innings.
Dr. Chris T. McAllister, Biology, and three NTCC Biology 2389 students, Gracie Gray, Isabel Tresidder, and Stephanie Hernandez traveled to Black Rock, Arkansas, March 14-18, 2025, and conducted research on big river fish parasites from the Black River. They discovered what will eventually be described as new species of myxosporeans from several fishes and were also mentored by a renown (retired) parasitologist, Dr. Donald Cloutman, from Kansas. These students will get their first scientific publications from this event and will be very helpful in furthering their career goals.
The 草榴社区 Foundation recently received a donation of $10,000 from Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB). The funds will be used to endow the Sid Greer Memorial Honors Scholarship at NTCC. Pictured, John Bryan (left) presents the check to Dr. Jon McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement, on behalf of THNB. Greer, who passed away in December 2024, served on the NTCC Board of Trustees faithfully for 23 years. During that time he served as Board Secretary for 12 years.
