Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø scholars win poster awards

The Great Plains Honors Council, an association of eighty honors colleges and programs from Nebraska to Texas, hosted a poster contest featuring four different areas of scholarly research at its annual meeting.

Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø (the honors program at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø) scholars Kayleah Cumpian, Tyler Reynolds and Elyse Coleman took three of the four prizes, with an honors student from Western Missouri University, Kelly Cochran, winning the fourth award.

Brummell receives NTCC Woodmen of the World scholarship

Mark Brummell (center), Pittsburg High School Senior, Class of 2015, was recently awarded the Woodmen of the World Scholarship for a Camp County high school graduate. The $3,000 scholarship is to be applied toward tuition, fees and books at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. Theatre ²ÝÁñÉçÇø presents Harvey

Theatre ²ÝÁñÉçÇø will present Mary Chase's 1944 Pulitzer Prize Winning comedy†Harvey†in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø campus. Performances will be April 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 2:05 p.m.

Running on Broadway for over four years and 1,775 performances and being honored with the coveted Pulitzer Prize, the celebrated comedy†±á²¹°ù±¹±ð²â†became one of the most popular and successful plays ever produced.

NTCC Ag students attend conference, win awards

²ÝÁñÉçÇø Agriculture students traveled to Texas State University in San Marcos to attend and compete at the 50th Annual Texas Junior College Agriculture Consortium April 1-3.

Titus County Literacy Advisory Council to hold meeting

The Titus County Literacy Advisory Council, Inc. will hold a meeting Tuesday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Resource Center (105 North Riddle Street, Mount Pleasant). Anyone interested in supporting adult literacy activities in Titus County and surrounding areas is invited to attend.
