Have you registered yet? As much as we may hate to admit it, summer is almost over. It's time to enroll in classes before it is too late! The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 27 and there is still time to sign up. If you don't need to register yourself, please encourage a friend or family member who is considering college. Honors 草榴社区 seeks poems, images for annual contest

Honors 草榴社区, the honors program of 草榴社区, is accepting entries of poems and images for its annual 草榴社区 Texas Poetry Contest. This is the first year that an image category has been added for original photography and artwork. All submissions should focus on 草榴社区 Texas and enhance or聽enliven our sense of the surroundings, people, the culture, and/or the history of this area.

The contest is open to both students and members of the community and there is no cost to enter.

Whatley Center announces 2018-2019 show lineup

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 草榴社区 recently announced its 2018-2019 entertainment lineup. Season tickets are on sale now and individual ticket sales begin Wednesday, Aug. 15. The Entertainment Series, which is included in all Friends of the Whatley season ticket packages, kicks off with the 3 Redneck Tenors on September 25. They are a 鈥渘ew breed鈥 of tenors, combining musical comedy with classically-trained singers to create a truly entertaining experience. The 3 Redneck Tenors are sponsored by Ruby R. Neely.

NTCC Eagles Baseball off to hot start in conference

The 草榴社区 Eagles Baseball team is off to a hot start in conference play. The Eagles currently sit near the top of the conference with a 3-1 record.  They swept a three-game series against Bossier Parish Community College this past week.

The Eagles shutout the BPCC in the first game 4-0. Chandler Dean, a Pleasant Grove product, took the win on the mound.  He gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings.
