The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation announced the winners of the 2012-2013 Whatley Employment Enhancement Awards this week. Seven out of the 20 proposals were chosen for funding.

The spirit of Christmas came to ²ÝÁñÉçÇø last week†as†Communities In Schools (CIS) Coordinators ²¹²Ô»å†volunteers gathered and boxed food to help feed local residents this holiday season.†The Spirt of Christmas food drive, sponsored by CIS, Brookshire's and Super 1 Foods, provided enough food for 500 families in ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Texas.

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the NTCC campus and begins at 8 a.m.
Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.
Registration for the spring 2013 semester is currently underway at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.
Intersession classes are December 17 through January 7. Both online and face-to-face courses are available. These intensive classes allow dedicated students to earn full college credit in about 12 class days. Spring 2013 classes begin on Monday, Jan.
²ÝÁñÉçÇø will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21 to Friday, Nov. 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All offices and classes will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 26.†In case of an emergency on campus during this time, please contact security at 903-563-1417.
²ÝÁñÉçÇø will host the Texas Tenors live on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The concert,†Deep In the Heart of Christmas,†will feature holiday classics like†O Holy Night†²¹²Ô»å†Joy to the World†in addition to many of their well-known favorites.â€
